Ali S. Malik, D.O., is a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician who specializes in treating painful conditions of the spine; including low back pain, mid-back pain, neck pain, radiculopathy, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, degenerative disc disease, facet joint arthropathy, and disorders of the sacrum.

Dr. Malik completed both undergraduate and graduate school in Florida at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.  He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He then went on to complete PM&R residency training with Nova Southeastern University, where he served as academic and administrative Chief Resident during his final year of training.  Following residency, he completed an Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai in New York City.  After fellowship, Dr. Malik joined the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Rehabilitation, and also worked as an interventional pain physician with the Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center of New York.

Dr. Malik is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association. He has presented and lectured on various topics at medical conferences, both locally and nationally, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He also serves as an Ad Hoc journal article reviewer for both the PM&R Journal, and the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
